Mindy Wilson is the founder and president of Xander’s Place and a licensed special education teacher with 14 years of experience in public education. She holds a B.S. in Special Education (K–12) with dual certification in Regular Education (K–6), a Master’s in Curriculum & Instruction, and an Ed.S. in Administration and Supervision. Her expertise spans special education inclusion, Comprehensive Developmental Classrooms, general education, and school health administration, with a specialty in working with all exceptional children with disabilities.

In addition to Xander’s Place, Mindy owns and operates its sister business, AdvoKids, where she provides advocacy services for families navigating the IEP and 504 process. Through both organizations, she works to connect families with resources, foster inclusive opportunities, and ensure children receive the support they need to thrive.

Outside of work, Mindy is a proud mom to three children, two Australian Shepherds, and one very independent outdoor cat. If she’s not working, you’ll likely find her on the bleachers cheering for her kids at their activities, walking her pups while listening to a great audiobook, or tending to her prized collection of indoor houseplants.
